Working Scientifically

<p><em>Working Scientifically</em> is a comprehensive guide for helping primary teachers to 'Work scientifically'. It provides teachers with the tools and resources to work scientifically in their lessons in a fun and exploratory way. Focusing on individual skills it traces their development through age related expectations and provides scientific activities in different contexts related to the new programme of study. It explores each skill multiple times to help pupils progress through the age related expectations and emphasises teaching through exploration and dialogue. It uses the analogy of a journey to space as its central concept with each step in progress related to a step in the journey.</p>
