<p>First Published in 2005. This book includes the history of labour and wages from the reign of Henry II in 1258 to the nineteenth century. To give context to the wages of workers it also includes the general prices of the time in order to estimate the purchasing power of those wages as well as the conditions of rural and town life and the distribution of wealth and trade.</p>
