The book looks at how students of sixth forms colleges polytechnics and universities alike found an increasing emphasis on interdisciplinary studies and how this opened new ways of studying new subjects. The book defines the unique academic elements which make English Studies a unique academic experience as well as an essential ingredient of most interdisciplinary courses. </p>
