<p>Originally published in 1988 this book was written at a time when many nations were engaged in various forms of ocean boundary making. This created new regional pressures and the need for collective regional responses to these issues. This book examines the issues at stake and the boundary making processes. It discusses these in a general way showing how the Third UN conference on the Law of the Sea helped resolve the problems whilst leaving some issues unresolved.
