It seeks to sum up the essence of the mothercraft advice given over the years through the pages of <i>Woman’s Pictorial</i> and <i>Mother and Home</i> where some material had appeared previously. It is a comprehensive guide through a baby’s life from birth through the early years and today can be enjoyed as a historical look at parenting and child development in the 1950s.</p>
